Pittwater Road Shared User Path Between Victoria Rd and High St Works

In February 2021, we asked for your feedback on proposal to construct a new cyclist and pedestrian shared user path along Pittwater Road between Victoria Road and High Street to provide a new cycling connection between North Ryde and Gladesville.
The proposal has now completed the next stage of detailed planning and we are pleased to advise that works are due to commence.
What will the works involve?
- Widening of the existing 1.2m wide footpath to a 2.5m wide shared-use path
- Line marking and signage
- Adjustment of driveway crossovers to accommodate the new path
It is a priority for Council to ensure there is minimal impact on trees and vegetation and this has been considered in the designs. As part of the upgrade, 22 trees will be removed and replaced with locally indigenous trees following construction.

a) Go to the Legend on the bottom right corner, click on the section you wish to view (i.e. Section 1: Victoria Road to Harvard Street) and it will show the section on the map; or
b) Click on the coloured line on the map
c) Click on the search icon on the top right of the page to search an address. When typing the address, use this format '1 Devlin St, Ryde NSW' which will bring up recommendations for the address as you're typing. Once you see the correct address, click on it.
