This Masterplan is being prepared in response to the Greater Sydney Commission’s Our Greater Sydney 2056 – North District Plan, City of Ryde’s Planning Ryde Local Strategic Planning Statement and with support from NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s Metropolitan Greenspace Program.
Council is seeking to increase the availability of open space in the City of Ryde to better meet the growing community needs. Opening and extending these corridors will significantly improve green transport connections between Macquarie Park to Eastwood and Macquarie Park to West Ryde and onwards to Meadowbank. It is likely to also include park, environmental and biodiversity improvements.
