Last year during Stage 2 Have Your Say for Gannan and McCauley Parks, we asked the community to provide feedback on a draft masterplan. Following this feedback, we have revised the masterplan to include new fitness equipment, cricket nets, additional seating and picnic shelters, improved signage on Buna Street and additional tree, grass and groundcover plantings.
In late 2018, modelling was done to look at the current demand of sportsgrounds versus what Council can provide the community. This modelling
showed an immediate need to increase the supply of sportsgrounds in the City of Ryde and that Gannan Park is one of the few areas that can
help meet this need.
Due to this increase in community need for sportsgrounds, the revision of the draft masterplan for Gannan and McCauley Parks now includes
sportsfield lighting, as any future upgrade of these parks cannot be considered without lights.
Council would like to hear your feedback on the draft masterplan for Gannan and McCauley Parks with the inclusion of sportsfield lighting.
